A Warm Welcome to the Paradise City Arts Festival

We just returned from a memorable weekend at the Paradise City Arts Festival in Northampton, Massachusetts. It was an excellent show and we are glad to have been part of it.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was a well-organized event. Everything—from the check-in process to the thoughtful layout of the booths—was handled with care and professionalism. That kind of attention to detail allowed us to focus on what we love most: connecting with people.

Meeting Art Collectors with a Passion for Handcrafted Work

And what great people we met! Some came with a deep appreciation for handcrafted work and shared stories of their own creative arts. Many were curious to learn how my wood art is made. Some who became fascinated by one of my pieces spent time calculating how they could rearrange their decor to make it work in their home.

The Paradise City Show is a tradition for many art enthusiasts. It appears that most visitors return every year and have been doing so for decades. It was common to hear that they drove an hour or two to get to this show.

We had a drawing for a free Entwined plate, and the winner was Paula from East Longmeadow, MA. Congratulations, Paula!

Fellow Artisans Who Inspired Us

We were also fortunate to be surrounded by incredibly talented fellow artisans. Creators of unique, high-end glass art, jewelry, furniture, paintings, metal sculptures, and fabrics that would all stop you in your tracks. As soon as Sarah held an Egyptian Cotton cape made by Sharon London, I knew it was coming home with us!

It’s not often that you find two hundred people in one place who all have such a passion for their work!

Thank you to everyone who came by our booth, and to the Paradise City team for making the experience so smooth and welcoming.

Looking Ahead: Where to See Us Next

During July, I will be a visiting artist at Cazenovia Artisan, Cazenovia, NY. The show is titled "Grains of Beauty: Art Inspired By Local Forests.”

I will team up with Cleveland fabric artist Meagan Smith for a two-person show at the Kirkland Art Center in Clinton, NY. The show will run from October 25 to November 29.
